Summer Associate Program

The closest experience to being an actual associate at Young Moore and Henderson

We design our summer associate program so that students can experience just what it’s like to be a new associate at Young Moore and Henderson. Our program is so rigorous and all-encompassing that we rely on it as our single most important source from which we hire new attorneys.

We take advantage of the diversity of our practice areas to pair students with as many lawyers and projects as possible. It works. Students conduct legal research and draft documents. They attend virtually every legal proceeding in which our lawyers participate. From depositions, hearings, client meetings, motions, mediations, arbitrations and trials, our summer associate students see it all.

To ensure that our students gain the full value of their experience, each is assigned two mentor attorneys to provide continuous feedback throughout the summer. We also provide students additional feedback through formal reviews conducted at the midpoint and conclusion of their time with us. We prefer that first- and second-year law students enrolled in the program work with us an entire summer.
