Background

Clark’s practice is in real estate and business law; he is a North Carolina State Bar board-certified specialist in real property law: residential, business, commercial and industrial transactions. Clark has represented clients in planning, closing and implementing transactions that involve buying, selling, developing, leasing, and structuring all types of real estate projects.

Clark is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission as a superior court mediator and has successfully mediated settlements in numerous lawsuits. He has represented both tenants and landlords in numerous leasing arrangements involving negotiation, preparation and review of leases for shopping centers, office buildings and office space and other real estate projects.

Clark represents business clients in transactions including the creation of and on-going counseling for corporations, limited liability companies and limited and general partnerships, and the governance of and purchase and sale of interest and assets in such entities.

After serving as a officer in the U.S. Air Force, including two years in JAG, Clark joined Young Moore and Henderson in 1972. He has an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
