Background
For more than 20 years, Jody Darden has practiced law in areas of wills, trusts and estate planning. Her specialty is in drafting complicated wills and trusts. Jody began her law career in 1985 with Young Moore and Henderson. Initially, her work focused on general litigation and corporate insurance law.
A native of Raleigh, Jody worked as a non-categorical resource teacher in a Raleigh elementary school until she was married and moved with her husband to Seoul, South Korea for one year. Upon their return, Jody and her husband first lived in New Haven, Connecticut, for three years, then moved to Newton, Massachusetts, where Jody attended Boston College Law School. After two years at Boston College, Jody returned to her hometown. She completed her third year of law school as a visiting student at UNC School of Law. Jody has an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
