Background
Robert Paschal practices in the areas of employee benefits and insurance law. His clients include third-party administrators of health and workers’ compensation benefits, the North Carolina Beach and FAIR Plans (markets of last resort for property insurance) and the N.C. Health Insurance Risk Pool. He also handles reinsurance matters, as well as regulatory issues before the North Carolina Department of Insurance. He has expertise in litigating claims disputes and insurance contracts and represents insurers and insured in matters involving disability benefits. He works with clients to seek resolution of claims involving ERISA-governed employee benefit plans.
Robert represents clients before the North Carolina Legislature, including members of the property and casualty and life and health insurance industries and public authorities. His clients rely on his counsel to keep them informed of legislative developments that can affect their businesses.
Robert married Anna Dorsett Paschal in 1975, and they have three children. His hobbies include sports and fitness, coastal visits and boating and architecture.
