Julia E. Dixon

Julia is a Raleigh native who joined the Workers' Compensation team at Young Moore and Henderson in 2008 as an associate. Julia represented employers and carriers for almost three years in the Raleigh office of a large insurance defense firm based in Charlotte. Prior experience also includes representation of plaintiffs in workers' compensation claims for four years with a specialty in occupational lung disease cases. Julia received a B.A. from Meredith College, a Masters degree in Public Administration from North Carolina State University and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

While in law school, Julia was a Notes & Comments Editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation. She also served as the "Apartheid to Democracy in South Africa" Symposium Editor and earned the Seymour W. Wurfel Award for persistence in the face of discouragement and unselfish dedication of time and spirit to the Journal. Julia also served on the Title IX Committee for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Julia is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. In addition to practicing law, Julia volunteers with several non-profits. She also dabbles in interior design and is a trained vocalist. Julia is an ardent supporter of the Carolina Hurricanes and N.C. State Wolfpack. She enjoys spending time with family, friends and her Portuguese Water Dog, Pepper.
