Matthew J. Gray

Matt joined Young Moore and Henderson as an associate in 2003 after receiving his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. While at Wake Forest, Matt was a quarter-finalist in the Stanley Moot Court Competition, a member of the Moot Court Board, a member of the Sports Law Moot Court Team, and a Teaching Assistant for Appellate Advocacy.

Before attending law school, Matt received his undergraduate degree in Business Management at North Carolina State University, and worked in the title insurance industry for two years.

Matt works with the firm's litigation team representing insurers, developers, and individuals in all stages of litigation. He also handles matters involving sedimentation control regulations, water quality regulations, land condemnation, administrative law, medical negligence or malpractice claims, premises liability, breach of contract, automobile negligence, and insurance coverage.

Matt also has experience in business and commercial matters. This includes the organization of the business entity, control and management arrangements, the purchase and sale of businesses, and advising owners with respect to day-to-day legal matters.

Matt enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, basketball, baseball, softball, and any other outdoor activity. He is a member of the National Rifle Association, National Wild Turkey Federation, and is a committee member of the Chatham County National Wild Turkey Federation.
