ALFA International will hold its 2022 Product Liability & Complex Torts Practice Group Seminar themed Changing the Game: Rewriting the Rules and Reinventing the Tactics to Meet Tomorrow’s Challenges, in San Diego, California on June 1-3.

Robert (Bob) C. deRosset and Michael S. Rainey, both shareholders at Young Moore, will be speaking at the event.

Bob will serve as a panelist of a session titled Rise of the Machines: The Internet of Things Today and Tomorrow, Regulations to Navigate, Risks to Address and Best Practices for Manufacturers. Bob focuses his practice primarily in the fields of construction, product liability law, and business. He is a certified mediator and trained in collaborative law. Bob is licensed to practice in North and South Carolina.

Michael will moderate a panel discussion on The Rise of Virtual Focus Groups: How Remote Video Conferencing Platforms are Changing the Traditional Focus Group and How Defense Counsel Can Leverage These Technologies. Michael focuses his practice in the area of complex civil litigation and represents clients in matters involving product liability, trucking and transportation, and premises liability cases, with an emphasis on wrongful death and catastrophic injury claims. He also represents landowners, businesses, and developers whose property is taken or threatened by condemnation and eminent domain.
