Beverly presents at 2015 Insurance Law Section annual meeting

Brian O. Beverly presented at the 2nd annual North Carolina Bar Association Insurance Law Section Annual Meeting on April 17 in Cary. Brian, along with his co-presenter, Alan Ruley, presented “Deposing the Insurer Representative (Adjuster, Underwriter, Executive): Tips and Traps for Both Sides.” Brian approached the topic from the perspective of defense counsel who represent insurers sued in the bad faith and extra-contractual liability contexts. His presentation focused on comprehensive discovery concerns in these cases, but also drilled down to address particulars such as deposition preparation best practices, motion practice to limit the scope of inquiry and choosing the right 30(b)(6) witness. The CLE was planned by the NCBA Insurance Law Section.
