Hoffman Shares Mediation Insights with Members of Susie Sharp Inn of Court

Dana H. Hoffman, shareholder at Young Moore, presented “Mediation Techniques and Best Practices” as a panelist to the members of the Susie Sharp Inn of Court on October 9, 2024. The panel, organized by Superior Court Judge Bryan Collins, the Inn’s current president, included a plaintiff’s counsel, defense counsel, and a certified mediator to discuss various mediation strategies.
The Susie Sharp Inn of Court, named after Chief Justice Susie Marshall Sharp—the first female Associate and Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court—brings together local judges, attorneys, law students, and faculty from UNC and NCCU law schools. Meeting six times a year, the Inn aims to promote professionalism across the Bar through a diverse, collegial, and congenial association of skilled attorneys dedicated to sharing their expertise and offering continuing education through discussions on timely topics.
Dana focuses her practice on complex litigation defense within the transportation, long-term care, and electric industries. She is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and a former President of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA). Dana has been named to the North Carolina Lawyer’s Weekly Power List in Personal Injury for two consecutive years and is also recognized in The Best Lawyers in America North Carolina Super Lawyers, and Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite.
