Hoffman Speaks to Campbell Law Students on the Importance of Civility in the Legal Profession
Young Moore attorney, Dana H. Hoffman, participated as a panelist in a recent event presented to incoming Campbell Law students, highlighting the significance of civility in the legal profession. The presentation, titled ‘Civility Matters,’ was organized and delivered by members of the esteemed American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Dana is a shareholder at Young Moore where she advises and defends clients in the transportation, long term care and electric industries. She is an elected member of ABOTA and a former President of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) where she served a total of 10 years on its Board of Directors. She is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America©, North Carolina Super Lawyers, and Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite.
About American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA)
Founded in 1958, ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges. ABOTA and its members are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA membership consists of more than 7,300 lawyers—equally balanced between plaintiff and defense—and judges spread among 96 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism by following our Code of Professionalism and Principles of Civility.
