Young Moore Welcomes Kathrynn D. Johnston

Young Moore and Henderson, P.A. is pleased to welcome Kathrynn D. Johnston as an associate attorney with the firm. Kathrynn focuses her practice on trusts and estates, tax planning, business law, and related matters.
Before earning her law degree, Kathrynn built a strong foundation in trusts and estates, working for more than eight years as a legal assistant and later as lead paralegal at a local firm. In that role, she prepared estate planning and probate documents, worked closely with clients, led staff, and supported firm operations — experience that continues to shape her practical, client-centered approach to legal matters.
Kathrynn earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Campbell University School of Law, where she served as Publication Editor for Campbell Law Review, earned multiple book awards, and held leadership positions in Women in Law and other student organizations. Her student comment won first place in the American Agricultural Law Association’s National Student Writing Contest and was published in Campbell Law Review. During law school, she also gained valuable insight through internships with the Supreme Court of North Carolina, the Bankruptcy Administrator’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina, and the Office of General Counsel for Campbell University.
In addition to her law degree, Kathrynn holds a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a B.A. from Louisiana Christian University. Originally from Louisiana, she has called the Triangle home for more than a decade.
