Senter to Present HIPAA Compliance & Enforcement Update at NC ASHRM
Young Moore attorney, David A. Senter, Jr., CHPC, is slated to present at the upcoming NC ASHRM Fall Conference at the Double Tree Hotel Biltmore in Asheville, NC, November 8-10, 2023. During his presentation, David will provide an update on HIPAA compliance and enforcement which will include a discussion on recent OCR settlements and practical steps that providers, large and small, can take to identify and mitigate potential data privacy and security risks.
David is a shareholder a Young Moore where he dedicates a large portion of his practice to representing clients within the healthcare industry. He educates and advises clients in matters pertaining to healthcare privacy and data security, breach notification and reporting requirements, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. His experience includes serving as the Interim Associate Compliance Officer and Director of Privacy of an Academic Medical Center in North Carolina. David is Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) and recognized in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America in the areas of Health Care Law as well as Privacy and Data Security. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University and Wake Forest University School of Law.
