Susan Fountain Named to NCLW 2025 Medical Malpractice Power List

Young Moore is proud to announce that attorney Susan T. Fountain has been named to the 2025 North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Medical Malpractice Power List. She is one of only 20 attorneys statewide recognized for their exceptional expertise and contributions to malpractice law in North Carolina.
A seasoned litigator and shareholder at Young Moore, Susan is widely respected for her strategic insight, deep legal knowledge, and unwavering commitment to client advocacy. She represents hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice defense and general liability matters. In addition, she advises clients on risk avoidance and management and is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct Superior Court mediations.
Susan began her legal career as a law clerk to Chief Judge Arnold at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She spent years in private practice defending healthcare providers before joining the North Carolina Department of Justice in 2013, where she represented state agencies in malpractice and catastrophic injury cases. She returned to private practice in 2017 when she joined Young Moore.
Susan is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and UNC School of Law. In addition to her inclusion on the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Power List for both 2024 and 2025, she is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© in the areas of Litigation – Health Care and Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants, and holds an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell
