Brianne C. Habit
Associate
Brianne Habit is an Associate in the firm’s litigation group, where she focuses her practice on healthcare and long-term care litigation. She represents healthcare providers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other professionals in complex civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
Brianne routinely defends healthcare providers, healthcare facilities, and long-term care facilities in medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims. She also represents physicians, nurses, and mental health professionals subpoenaed to testify in matters where they are not a named defendant, advising them on how to navigate the process and testify within their ethical obligations. Her experience further includes representing clients providing correctional healthcare services in jails and prisons.
In addition, Brianne represents professionals before licensing boards and administrative agencies in both North Carolina and South Carolina, including medical, dental, nursing, psychology, and mental health boards.
Brianne also has experience in general liability matters, representing individuals and businesses in cases involving premises liability, products liability, intentional torts, property damage, and breach of contract.
