Suzanne Walker and Brianne Habit Join the Firm, Deepening Capabilities in Medical Malpractice and Long-Term Care Defense

Young Moore and Henderson, P.A. is pleased to announce the addition of two highly regarded healthcare litigators to its growing litigation practice. Suzanne R. Walker joins as Of Counsel and Brianne C. Habit joins as an Associate, both effective July 1, 2026. The two attorneys focus primarily on the long-term care sector, furthering the firm’s strategic commitment to expanding its healthcare footprint.
Walker and Habit bring a combined record of deep experience defending healthcare providers and long-term care facilities across the Carolinas and beyond. The two have worked closely together for several years at a national firm, and their arrival reflects the firm’s continued investment in sophisticated healthcare defense capabilities.
Suzanne R. Walker, Of Counsel
Walker brings nearly two decades of litigation experience handling matters in state, federal, and appellate courts. Her practice centers on healthcare defense, where she routinely represents healthcare providers and long-term care facilities in medical malpractice, personal injury, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death matters.
Walker’s healthcare experience includes representing clients involved in HIPAA compliance complaints before the Office of Civil Rights and defending healthcare providers against Section 1983 deliberate indifference and Bivens claims. She also represents clients before regulatory and licensing boards throughout North Carolina, including medical, dental, nursing, and mental health boards.
Walker is a graduate of Campbell University School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is named in Best Lawyers in America® in Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants (2024–2026) and recognized among Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite in the category of Litigation.
Brianne Habit, Associate

She regularly practices in state and federal courts in both states and is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Habit’s healthcare defense work includes representing clients in medical malpractice, personal injury, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims, as well as before licensing boards throughout the Carolinas. She also advises physicians, nurses, and mental health professionals on testifying as non-target witnesses in litigation.

“Suzanne and Brianne are exactly the kind of accomplished, collaborative attorneys we sought as we continue to grow our healthcare practice,” said Dawn M. Dillon, Managing Partner. “Their combined depth in long-term care and medical malpractice defense directly advances our strategic plan, and we are excited to welcome them to the team.”
The additions underscore the firm’s ongoing strategic focus on strengthening its presence in the healthcare industry, providing clients with robust, regionally integrated defense capabilities in one of the most complex and highly regulated practice areas.
