Lukas Epps-Dawson

Attorney

Lukas Epps-Dawson is an associate at Young Moore where he focuses his practice on civil litigation and insurance law.

Before obtaining his law degree, Lukas worked for four years as a Senior Account Manager at an education technology software as a service (SaaS) company, where he retained a customer base and grew business in his assigned territory, focusing primarily on internal accounts. By having worked closely with a variety of stakeholders, Lukas understands the types of needs faced by decision makers, and the importance of effective communication and problem-solving in addressing those needs. Prior to that experience, Lukas taught high school for two years as a corps member with Teach for America in Eastern North Carolina, where he developed research-based solutions to enhance students’ educational outcomes.

Lukas earned his B.A. from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia with a dual degree in English and Government. He graduated magna cum laude from Campbell University School of Law, where he participated as a Bluebook Editor on the Campbell Law Review. Before joining Young Moore, Lukas served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Julee T. Flood at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, whom he also interned for during law school.

Lukas’ experience growing up in Germany as a child of missionary parents informs his approach to understanding clients’ needs and handling legal matters. He now lives in the Triangle along with his wife, daughter, and dog. Outside of Young Moore, Lukas enjoys spending time with his family, biking on Raleigh’s greenways, and gardening.
