Suzanne R. Walker

Of Counsel

Suzanne Walker is Of Counsel in Young Moore’s litigation group, where she focuses her practice on healthcare and long-term care litigation defense. She has nearly two decades of experience handling matters in state, federal, and appellate courts throughout North Carolina, including the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Suzanne routinely defends healthcare providers and long-term care facilities in medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims. She also represents a variety of professionals before licensing boards across North Carolina, including medical, dental, nursing, and mental health boards. Her experience extends to HIPAA compliance matters before the Office of Civil Rights and the defense of healthcare providers against Section 1983 deliberate indifference and Bivens claims.

Suzanne also has experience in insurance coverage litigation, including the defense of carriers in third-party and first-party coverage disputes and bad faith claims, as well as construction litigation on behalf of architects, engineers, and design professionals.

Suzanne is recognized in Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants and has been named to Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite in the Litigation category. She is a graduate of Campbell University School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
