Susan Fountain Joins List of Certified NCDRC Mediators
Susan T. Fountain, shareholder at Young Moore and Henderson, P.A., is now certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct Superior Court mediations in North Carolina.
A member of Young Moore’s healthcare practice team, Susan represents hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers in a variety of matters, including medical malpractice defense and general liability. She also advises clients on strategies to avoid and effectively manage risks.
After obtaining her law degree and serving as a law clerk for Chief Judge Arnold at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, Susan embarked on an extensive career in private practice dedicated to defending healthcare providers. In 2013, she took on a significant role with the North Carolina Department of Justice, where she skillfully defended state agencies against medical malpractice claims and other catastrophic injury cases. Susan returned to private practice in 2017, becoming a valuable addition to the team at Young Moore.
Susan is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina School of Law. She has an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell and is recognized in the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in America© in the areas of Litigation-Health Care and Medical Malpractice Law-Defendants.
