Christy Dunn Appointed Director of Government Affairs of Raleigh Metro SHRM

Christy C. Dunn, attorney at Young Moore, has been appointed Government Affairs Director for the Raleigh Metro Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (RMSHRM). In this role, Christy will communicate legislative information to the chapter’s 900+ membership, initiate action in response to national and state legislative alerts, coordinate chapter legislative activities, and represent the chapter at the annual state government affairs conference and the annual NCSHRM conference.

Christy represents employers, electric membership corporations, and long-term care facilities in employment law matters and civil litigation. She also represents insurance companies in bad faith and coverage litigation. She is named in the 2025 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® and is recognized among Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite™ in the Young Guns category.

Christy is a graduate of Campbell Law School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in law school, Christy interned in the Office of the Solicitor General of North Carolina and for The Honorable J. Douglas McCullough at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Before joining Young Moore, she clerked for The Honorable Allegra Collins at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She is active in several organizations in the community.
