Senter to Present at Health Information Management Conference

Young Moore attorney,  David A. Senter, Jr., will present Lessons Learned from Recent OCR Enforcement of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules at the upcoming 2022 SCHIMA Annual Meeting in Greenville, South Carolina, July 24-26. David will discuss recent OCR settlements and share practical steps that providers, large and small, can take to identify and mitigate potential data privacy and security risks.

A partner at Young Moore, David educates and advises clients within the healthcare industry on matters pertaining to healthcare privacy and data security, breach notification and reporting requirements, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. He currently serves as the Interim Associate Compliance Officer and Director of Privacy of an Academic Medical Center in North Carolina. David also maintains an active litigation practice where he advises and represents clients in matters relating to business disputes and administrative litigation.

The South Carolina Health Information Management Association (SCHIMA) is the official component state association (CSA) of its national organization, the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). SCHIMA proudly represents approximately 1,600 professional members across South Carolina working in HIM, data analytics, medical coding, revenue cycle management, compliance, education, privacy and security, information technology and various other specialties. The association’s mission is to lead and educate the community in health informatics and information management to promote the quality and integrity of health information in South Carolina.
