Administration of Trusts, Estates & Probate

Our trusts, estates & probate attorneys provide compassionate guidance during times of loss.

Although an estate plan provides the framework for the disposition of assets after the death of a family member or friend, there is more involved in the administration of an estate than merely transferring property. During times of loss, we provide compassionate guidance and assistance to individuals who have lost a loved one.

Whether estate planning documents were prepared by our firm or elsewhere, we advise family members about post-death decisions. We counsel executors and trustees on their fiduciary duties and assist with the tasks involved with the administration of estates and trusts such as the preparation and filing of court-required documents; assisting with the complexity of the court probate process; locating and collecting assets; assisting with the distribution of assets; determining the value of assets for distribution and transfer tax purposes; and handling estate tax and fiduciary income tax returns while taking full advantage of the tax laws to reduce the impact of taxes on heirs, estates and trusts.

Communications are not privileged until the client and lawyer have agreed on legal representation. Please do not send confidential information to us via e-mail or in any other manner without first communicating directly with us about the attorney-client relationship. The transmission of an e-mail request for information does not create an attorney-client relationship. Your initial email should only contain a list of the parties interested in the matter so that we can make sure we have no conflicts before you convey any information about your case.
