Christy Dunn Presents on Managing Third-Party Vendor Risk at NCSLA Fall Convention

Young Moore shareholder Christy C. Dunn recently co-presented at the 2026 North Carolina Senior Living Association (NCSLA) Fall Convention & Trade Show in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Christy joined Amy Cranford Perkins, President and CEO of The Cranford Agency, Inc., to present “Partners in Care, Protected in Practice: Managing Third-Party Vendors and Reducing Liability.” The session focused on helping assisted living providers manage relationships with hospice, home health, rehabilitation, durable medical equipment, laboratory, and other healthcare vendors while protecting residents and reducing organizational risk.

Christy and Amy discussed key provisions to consider in vendor agreements, including hold harmless and indemnification language, insurance requirements, and liability protections. They also shared practical strategies for establishing clear expectations, strengthening vendor relationships, and reducing potential exposure for assisted living communities.

Christy advises long-term care facilities on compliance matters and defends facilities in regulatory enforcement actions and civil litigation. She also counsels long-term care providers on employment law and insurance coverage matters.

Christy is a frequent speaker on legal and risk management issues affecting senior living and long-term care providers. She previously presented at the 2025 NCSLA Fall Convention on strategies for mitigating risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence in assisted living facilities.
