Dawn Dillon Presents at NC Workers’ Compensation Conference

Young Moore Managing Partner and attorney Dawn M. Dillon co-presented at the recent 30th Annual North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Conference, held October 15–17, 2025, at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley Hotel.

Organized by the North Carolina Industrial Commission, the conference brings together a wide range of stakeholders—including employers, attorneys, adjusters, and healthcare professionals—to discuss current and noteworthy trends in workers’ compensation law and practice.

Dawn co-presented the session “Extended Compensation Cases under G.S. 97-29(c)” alongside Valerie Johnson of Johnson & Groninger, PLLC. Together, they explored key considerations in cases involving requests for indemnity benefits beyond the statutory 500 week limit, recent case law developments, and practical strategies related to claims for extended compensation, sharing valuable insights with attendees.

As Managing Partner at Young Moore, Dawn leads the firm while maintaining an active practice focused on workers’ compensation and employment law. She represents employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in claims before the Industrial Commission and advises clients on workplace policies and compliance with state and federal employment laws. She has been named to the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Employment Power List for two consecutive years and is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® and Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite™.
