Dillon & Levine Present at NC Association of Occupational Health Nurses Fall Meeting

Young Moore attorneys Dawn M. Dillon and Brittany D. Levine took the stage as presenters at the North Carolina Association of Occupational Health Nurses (NCAOHN) 2023 Fall Conference, a full-day event held on November 10, 2023, in Morrisville, NC. This conference focused on essential skills relevant to occupational nursing, covering topics such as workers’ compensation case management, OSHA recordkeeping, nursing documentation, liability, and effective return-to-work strategies.

Dawn delivered an insightful presentation titled The Triple Threat – When WC/ADA/FMLA Collide. Brittany followed with a presentation titled Charting the Course: Understanding the Legal Landscape and Power of Documentation. The event provided a valuable platform for professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills in this vital field.

Dawn serves as co-leader of the Employment/Workers’ Compensation litigation team at Young Moore, where she concurrently serves as the firm’s Managing Partner. Notably, Dawn is the first woman to lead the firm since its establishment in 1954. She advises and represents clients on matters involving workers’ compensation claims and other employment issues such as non-compete agreements, harassment and retaliation claims, ADA, FMLA and FSLA issues, employment agreement drafting and enforcement. Dawn regularly speaks at seminars for clients and other lawyers on workers’ compensation and employment law topics and has served in a variety of leadership roles in the legal and business communities. She is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© and Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite™.

Brittany devotes a significant portion of her practice to representing clients within the healthcare industry. She defends healthcare providers and professionals in civil litigation matters and educates and advises clients in matters pertaining to healthcare privacy and data security, breach notification and reporting requirements, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. In addition to her legal work, Brittany is a committed member of Young Moore’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee underscoring her dedication to both legal excellence and creating an inclusive work environment. She is recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America in the area of Health Care Law.
