Young Moore Attorneys Named to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s Legal 250

Young Moore is proud to announce that four of its attorneys have been selected for inclusion in North Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s inaugural Legal 250 — a new annual feature recognizing 250 attorneys who are shaping North Carolina’s legal landscape across 40 practice areas. Managing Partner Dawn M. Dillon and firm attorneys Susan T. Fountain, Dana H. Hoffman, and Christopher A. Page have each been honored in this debut edition, which publishes in June 2026.

Dawn M. Dillon has been recognized in the area of Workers’ Compensation. She serves as Young Moore’s Managing Partner and is the first woman to lead the firm since its founding in 1954. An employment and workers’ compensation attorney with more than 25 years of experience, Dawn advises and represents employers on a broad range of matters, including workers’ compensation claims, harassment and discrimination, wage and hour issues, non-compete agreements, and employment agreement drafting and enforcement. She is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America©, North Carolina Super Lawyers®, Business North Carolina‘s Legal Elite™, and the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Employment Power List. Dawn is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law and Mary Washington College.

Susan T. Fountain has been recognized in the area of Medical Malpractice Defense. A shareholder at Young Moore and member of its healthcare practice team, she represents hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice defense, general liability, and risk management matters. Susan began her career as a law clerk to Chief Judge Arnold at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, built an extensive record in private practice, and served with the North Carolina Department of Justice defending state agencies in medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases before joining Young Moore in 2017. A UNC Chapel Hill and UNC School of Law alumna, Susan has been named to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s Medical Malpractice Power List and is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© in Healthcare Litigation and Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants. She is an elected Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct Superior Court mediations.

Dana H. Hoffman has been recognized in the area of Personal Injury Defense. A shareholder at Young Moore, Dana has made the firm her professional home since 1990 and has built a distinguished career as a complex defense litigator for motor carriers, nursing homes, and rural electric cooperatives. With more than 30 years of boots-on-the-ground experience at accident scenes and more than 50 completed trials as defense counsel, Dana is well known for defending high-exposure claims involving wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and allegations of abuse. She makes frequent appearances at the trial and appellate levels, including before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Dana is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the International Society of Barristers (ISOB), and a former President of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA). She is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© in the areas of Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants, Litigation – Health Care, and Transportation Law, and has been named the Best Lawyers® 2026 “Lawyer of the Year” in Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants in Raleigh. She is also recognized in North Carolina Super Lawyers, Business North Carolina‘s Legal Elite™ in Litigation, and the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Personal Injury Power List. She earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and her B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill.

Christopher A. Page has been recognized in the area of Consumer/Commercial Law. A shareholder at Young Moore with more than 33 years of jury trial, bench trial, and arbitration experience, Chris focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, employment litigation, non-compete disputes, product liability, and construction litigation, with deep experience serving national clients in the hospitality and retail industries. A summa cum laude graduate of Duke University and Yale Law School, Chris has been recognized in North Carolina Super Lawyers® since 2018 in the area of Commercial Litigation and in The Best Lawyers in America© across five practice areas, including Commercial Litigation and Litigation – Labor & Employment. He has also been named a Thomson Reuters “Stand-out Lawyer” for 2025 and 2026, an honor based on direct nominations from senior in-house counsel. Chris is actively involved in ALFA International, where he serves as 2026 Program Chair for the Business Litigation Group and chairs the Strategic Plan Execution Committee, and was named ALFAI’s Attorney of the Year in 2017. Chris also serves as the Chair of the Commercial Litigation section for the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
