Crafting Effective Appeals: Craddock Shares Expert Tips at NC Workers’ Comp Conference
At the 29th Annual North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference, Angela F. Craddock joined a distinguished panel of attorneys and judges to present a session titled Appellate Practice Tips. Among her fellow panelists were Judge Allegra Collins and Judge April Wood from the North Carolina Court of Appeals. The three-day event, organized by the North Carolina Industrial Commission, was held in cooperation with the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation (IWCF) at the Raleigh Convention Center.
Angela is a shareholder at Young Moore, where she focuses her practice on guiding businesses and institutional clients through civil litigation, state administrative litigation, and appeals. She leads the firm’s Appellate Practice and is a key member of the Transportation and Logistics, Workers’ Compensation, and Insurance Regulation Practice groups.
Angela’s growing appellate practice spans civil, administrative, and regulatory law. Due to her expertise, trial counsel routinely refer matters to her for handling throughout the appellate process, and they also enlist her services to consult or collaborate in developing strategies for appeals. She is frequently called upon to prepare amicus curiae briefs for industry groups in important cases before the appellate courts. Angela is the immediate Past Chair of the Appellate Practice Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and a member of Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite™ Appellate Practice Hall of Fame (2023). She is also recognized in Best Lawyers in America® and North Carolina Super Lawyers and is a recipient of the Westfield Golden Gavel Award for her outstanding achievement in appellate advocacy.
