Product Liability

Put our experience to work for you.

At Young Moore, we represent insured and self-insured product manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, maintenance contractors, and retailers in product liability litigation involving death, injury, toxic exposures, and property damage. We are local counsel for several national product manufacturers, and we have extensive experience in a broad range of products including consumer products and appliances, medical devices, household and industrial chemicals, motor vehicles, lift trucks, industrial equipment, heavy construction equipment, elevators and escalators, and LP gas appliances and installations. The firm also has experience in litigation involving computer hardware and software.

Our extensive trial experience in product liability law has enabled us to build strong working relationships with a broad range of highly qualified and seasoned expert witnesses to form an aggressive trial team, and to master effective techniques for investigation and discovery. The firm also participates in state and national organizations that are on the cutting edge of networking resources, investigation, discovery and trial techniques in product litigation. Our experience provides us with highly skilled and efficient attorneys and paralegals. This experience and efficiency enable the firm to provide cost-effective, focused litigation directed toward the client’s case-specific goals and objectives.

We welcome the opportunity to become involved early in any incident resulting in death, serious injury or major property damage before litigation is initiated. Early involvement enables us to use our trial experience to direct the investigation into the incident utilizing the best available independent experts in cooperation with the client’s in-house experts to develop and preserve key evidence that will best position the company to avert litigation, or be prepared to vigorously defend the product through trial.

We have experience in and encourage the use of alternative dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration, and we employ the unique advocacy techniques necessary to make it a successful alternative to trial.

Communications are not privileged until the client and lawyer have agreed on legal representation. Please do not send confidential information to us via e-mail or in any other manner without first communicating directly with us about the attorney-client relationship. The transmission of an e-mail request for information does not create an attorney-client relationship. Your initial email should only contain a list of the parties interested in the matter so that we can make sure we have no conflicts before you convey any information about your case.
